A lot of you probably want to start working from home after everything you have read here.  As a newbie, you’ll need to have the basics of how to work from home to get started. Below is a list of the things you need to work from home.

1. A computer connected to the Internet 24/7 – Forget dial-up connections! When you want to work from home effectively you need to have a speedy connection to the internet.  Even though you are working at home, many times you need to be available in an instant.  At times, clients will require you to be online immediately or during work hours for easier communication, thus you have to be connected to the Internet always.  People who aren’t online most of the time almost always lose their clients to those who are online, even if they are more talented.

2. A Paypal Account – A Paypal account is necessary if you want to work from home. Paypal is an online money transfer facility which allows your clients to pay you as soon as work is done.  Although there are other payment methods, most clients prefer Paypal because it is online-based and is less of a hassle for them. Paypal is also available internationally.  You can sign up for free right here.

3. Credit Card, Bank Account, Debit Card – A Paypal account needs to be linked to a credit card, bank account, or debit card for money transfer purposes. So, you’ll need at least one of the three.  In order to claim your money, you need to do a withdrawal from Paypal to any of the choices above.

These are the basic things you need when it comes to how to work from home.  From time to time though, your clients may require you to install special work-related software or sign-up with an online based facility. If you have the basics mentioned above, then you can start looking for that online job you’ve always wanted.
